How Trade Fairs International collects, uses and protects your data across cairoict.com, the Exhibitor, Speaker & Visitor Zone and the Cairo ICT mobile app.

Last updated: August 2026 · This policy applies to Cairo ICT, PAFIX, AIDC Expo and Connecta 2026.

1. Who we are

Cairo ICT is organized by Trade Fairs International (“we”, “us”), Cairo, Egypt. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website, the registration system, the Exhibitor, Speaker & Visitor Zone, the mobile app and at the venue. Contact: info@cairoict.com.

2. What we collect

Registration details (name, email, mobile number, company or educational institution, job title and level, industry and interests); badge and attendance data (your QR pass, gate check-ins); inquiries and messages you send us; newsletter subscriptions; and technical data (IP address, device and browser information, pages visited) collected via cookies as described below. Photography and filming take place throughout the venue; by attending, you may appear in event photos and videos used for legitimate event coverage and promotion.

3. Why we use it

To issue your badge and operate the event (performance of our agreement with you); to respond to inquiries and manage exhibitor contracts; to send service emails about your registration; to send event updates you opted into, with an easy way out in every email; to keep the event safe and secure; to measure and improve our website and campaigns (with your consent, via the tools below); and to comply with legal obligations. We process personal data in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and, where it applies to visitors from the EU, the GDPR.

4. Badge scanning by exhibitors

If you allow an exhibitor to scan your badge at their stand, the contact details in your registration (name, company, job title, email, phone) are shared with that exhibitor so they can follow up with you. Each exhibitor is responsible for using scanned contacts lawfully. Simply decline the scan if you do not want to share your details.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We group cookies into three categories, and only the first loads without your consent:

You choose on your first visit and can change your mind anytime via (also in the footer). Refusing analytics and marketing cookies never limits your access to the site or the event.

6. Who we share data with

Service providers who help us run the event under contract: email delivery, website hosting and analytics/marketing platforms listed above; exhibitors, only through badge scans you allow; and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data. Some providers process data outside Egypt; where they do, we rely on their standard contractual safeguards.

7. Retention

Registration and attendance records are kept for the event cycle and a reasonable period afterwards to run future editions you may wish to attend; newsletter data until you unsubscribe; inquiry messages for up to 24 months.
